Chynna
Chynna
Chynna Rogers is rap's high priestess. Signed to Ford models at age 14 and now 22, the Philly-born artist quickly developed a relationship with the A$AP Mob while traveling to NYC for modeling gigs. She grew especially close to ASAP Yams, whom she reached out to as a teenager via Twitter seeking his A&R mentorship. Instead, he encouraged Rodgers to pursue her own music. Tattoos like the Eye of Ra, an elaborate mandala, "wanderlust" in cursive script run along her arms. The letters "blk out grl" adorn her fingers - a nod to the ASAP Mob and A$AP Yams, who died in January. "I was the only girl, so that one is for Yams," she notes.

The A$AP Mob member was right. Chynna's penchant for matching moody atmospherics paired with deadpan, often brutally honest vocals demonstrates an often startlingly disturbing nonchalance equally comparable to 21 Savage or Marie Davidson. Citing broad influences that range from Gucci Mane to Britney Spears, Rogers has also utilized her keen eye for A&R to work with UK producers Hudson Mohawke and Darq E Freaker, both known for their experimental avant garde collaborations in hip hop music.

In 2015 Chynna released the Radiohead title-inspired I'm Not Here, This Isn't Happening EP, following it up with last year's Ninety, her ode to 90 days of sobriety from opiate addiction. Rogers' ability to meld a myriad of art and culture reference points (the artwork for 'Ninety' stems from psych-heavy band Blue Oyster Cult, and multiple tracks from her prior EPs recall characters from Mean Girls) extends to her recurrent stint as a model, where she has recently worked on campaigns for both DKNY and VFILES. As a rapper she also isn't shy to speak about her religious views as an actively practicing Buddhist, with a firm belief in the concept of "being reborn to help other people."

Perhaps Chynna's biggest draw is her committal to "love your dark parts too." Recently one year sober, her music never loses its raw edge and immersive ambiance, synonymous with both a sprawling late afternoon smoke deep in Chinatown, or the beginning of the end of an afterparty, where anything is still possible, but what actually does happen becomes a story to tell. Surely, if anything does feel real, it's Chynna, whose powerful transformative ability renders her as one of the most authentic new voices in rap today.
Cherele
Cherele
Patrice Cherele Swygert best known as Cherele is the Aquarian born 90’s baby from Fort Myers, Florida who grew an appreciation for music at a young age. Her mother noticed and placed her in piano lessons by the age of 3. Despite her diverse taste, Hip Hop called to her at the tender age of 7 and by 9 she was already creating music of her own. A small town couldn’t hold her big dreams so she relocated to Miami in 2013 where she collaborated with producer LeMieuX for her first LP titled Paradise Lost. The project debuted in April 2015 through FACT Mag in the UK and received rave reviews from major publications such as HotNewHipHop, Ashley Outrageous, and Respect Magazine. Cherele was even named one of Florida’s 5 Favorite Rising Stars by Pigeons and Planes. Not to mention she was nominated for 5 Mieux Magazine awards including Best Debut Project, Best Single, Best South Florida Artist, Best Female Artist, and Video Of The Year in 2015.

Cherele had the opportunity to tour alongside Awful Record’s Lord Narf and Goth Money's Black Kray where she had her first taste of life on the road. In 2016, her single “vi$ions” was featured on HBO’s hit show Insecure and this is only the early stages of the star that is to emerge. This small town bread, big city spitter is transcending genres with her new direction. With inspirations such as M.I.A., Santigold, and Peaches and LeMieuX in her creative corner, you can only imagine the sounds you will see with her next project titled .phases//. The project is new experimental fusion of various styles with a rhythmic kick to keep you moving. Cherele’s new playfully infectious sound sets the tone for the colorful visual representation that is Cherele. As she works on new music and prepares to premier her new single, there’s no telling how far Cherele will go, but you can be sure that there’s nothing slowing her down.
Hourglass
Hourglass
Early in life, Charlotte, NC native Hourglass learned that aside from family and a few close friends, the staple in her life was her passion for music. After graduating from Washington University in St. Louis, Hourglass decided to utilize her business degree in a less conventional way than her peers.

In 2011, Hourglass founded a blog devoted to promoting new talent in music. Soon after, she became one of the editors and moderators of popular Hip Hop startup RapGenius.com and served as Music Editor for TheWellVersed.com. All of these jobs helped her discover her love for mixing music, and there’s been no looking back since her rst gig in 2012.

After working her way into the dj booths of Atlanta’s most notable venues without any major backing, Hourglass has found a family in WERC Crew, an event production collective of creative curators and in uencers. With WERC, Hourglass not only performs, but plans and executes each event with her partners from beginning to end. Currently, Hourglass is a resident DJ at Atlanta venues El Bar and Negril Village.

Most recently, Hourglass graced the Toyota DJ stage of the A3C Festival, performed at SXSW Festival along with One Music Fest, Afropunk’s Red Bull Sound Select, Milk & Cookies Fest, and Afropunk ATL: The Carnival of Consciousness. A concrete rose who has found her place in a community full of talent using her motto “Think Outside the Clock,” Hourglass’s style ranges from future beats and house to reggae, hip hop, top 40, and everything in between.
